SPALDING NAMES DIRECTOR OF DIAMOND SPORTS (DAVE CORADINI)


SPRINGFIELD, MA (November 28, 2007) — Spalding, a leading sports equipment provider, has named David J. Coradini, Director of Diamond Sports . Coradini will be responsible for all marketing related and product management activities as they pertain to Spalding's baseball and Dudley softball business. 

Coradini comes to Spalding with an extensive background in retail and general brand management.   Most recently he was the Vice President of Marketing & Sales and a member of the Board of Directors for MSS Performance, a manufacturer of Sport Enhancing Visual Training Aids. Coradini also was a Buyer of Baseball and Family Sports for Galyans Sports & Outdoor in Plainfield , IN.

"Spalding's heritage began with baseball more than 130 years ago so we look to Dave to highlight our presence once again on the softball and baseball diamonds," stated Dan Touhey, vice president of marketing. "Dave's experience on the marketing and retail side of the business adds key insights to our marketing team and specifically in the important diamond sports categories."

Coradini is a member of the Board of Directors for Play Ball Indiana , a non profit organization that fundraises and promotes baseball and softball programs for disadvantaged inner city youths. He graduated from Georgia Southern University where he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a B.S. in Political Science. He was a four time men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete Award winner at Georgia Southern and has been listed among Who's Who Among College and University Students.
