SPALDING'S NEW BRANDING INITIATIVES GAIN MOMENTUM
New Spalding.com Website Recognized for Creative and Interactive Design

Springfield, MA, July 25, 2005
Fresh off the heels of introducing a new worldwide branding strategy, Spalding, the world's largest basketball equipment company, has been recognized for its new website, www.spalding.com.

Spalding.com was named as Macrodmedia's Site of the Day on July 12, 2005. Macromedia, the company that makes FLASH and other products to author websites, identified Spalding's new website for its highly creative and interactive components. On the same day it was honored, Spalding reported a 132 percent increase in website traffic.

The site, designed by Visual Concepts, Inc. (of Windsor, CT), used Macromedia Flash MX 2004 to create interactive features for Spalding's recently launched "True to the Game" branding campaign. The site features video interviews with NBA commissioner David Stern and Auburn University coach Tommy Tuberville, as well as interactive displays of Spalding's products for various sports.
